Aim was to investigate the moderating role of body image anxiety in the relationship between the use of visual media and internalizing of symptoms in adolescents. Descriptive-correlational design method and multi-stage sampling method of 300 adolescent girls and boys who used Instagram social pages were selected from 14-16 year. Collection tools included Littleton (2005) Fear of Body Image, Goodman Adolescent Strengths Weaknesses (1997), researcher-made questionnaire on visual media use. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 22. Results showed that body image anxiety has a moderating effect on the relation between visual media and internalization of pathological symptoms.
