English Augustan literature in the eighteenth century is the most refined but bears other hidden graces demanding more exploration. Despite being warmly acclaimed by critics since its creation just for its refinement, the purpose of his paper is to bring into limelight its other unnoticed accomplishments. In fact the dynamic strength of Augustan literature together with its potentiality has vigorously flowed down to centuries ahead finding outlet to any place for the benefit and improvement of social life. Unfairly this literature has been looked at as a rare relic of the past simply for its being fine as if it were an object to be kept in a gallery dusted to remind us of the past. A closer look at this literature reveals each one of its literati who posed social and contrary to their being personal turned universal.
