Recent studies have shown that levofloxacin may have a unique activity against multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in combination with colistin, whereby preclinical studies become required. Various tests are used to detect bacterial antibiotic resistance. Each test according to its standard indicates whether a micro-organism is susceptible, intermediate, or resistant against anti-bacterial agents. However, in some cases, we cannot definitely determine the susceptibility of bacteria to drugs. In this study, a fuzzy approach was used to analyze the results of antimicrobial susceptibility test and the risk factors influencing antimicrobial resistance to levofloxacin.
