The main objective of this work is to give a characterization of minimal extended affine root systems of reduced types in terms of minimal reflectable bases. We achieve this as a by-product of a study of interrelations between three classes of certain subsets of extended affine root systems which we denote by Mr, Mm and Mc, and we explain them and their related terminologies.
