The Investigation of La(III)Ions-Doping effect on band gap of BiFeO3 perovskite

In the last few years, perovskite have received researchers’ attention due to their applications in photovoltaic and photo- catalysis. These materials are semiconductor and it is one of the most important properties of them. In this research, we synthesized bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) perovskite by co- precipitation method and doped La (III) to investigate any changes in band gap energy. Prepared structures were characterized by IR spectroscopy, X-ray powder Diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDAX). The band gap energies, HOMO and LUMO levels of synthesized compounds were calculated by using UV-Vis spectroscopy and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV).
