    In this study, luminescent fibers were produced from mixture of phosphor strontium aluminate particles and polypropylene by melt spinning process. The morphological and structural properties of fibers have been investigated. Also the fibers were dyed with acidic dyes and the effect of particles concentration on the dyeabillity of polypropylene composite fibers was studied. SEM images showed that the particles are uniformly distributed over the PP matrix. XRD results confirmed the presence of particles in the fibers structure and the crystal size did not change significantly. Reflection spectroscopic results showed that the absorption of acidic dyes increased by increasing the amount of particles in the composite fibers due to the positive charge on phosphor strontium aluminate particles.
