    Nano-biosensors have attracted many attentions since they are sensitive and precise for detection small number of biomarkers in any environment. Alzheimer’s disease is known as a neurodegenerative disease in which the symptoms appear in the late stages with cognitive impairment problems. Early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease would be the first promising step toward the treatment of the disease. This study employs the colorimetric feature of gold nanoparticles for detection of a specific biomarker for diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease in early stages. The characteristics of the developed nano-biosensor are determining using DLS, zeta potential and FT-IR test. The DLS results show size of 40 nm for the synthesized nanoparticles and 150 nm for nanoprobe implying accurate conjugation of the probe with nanoparticles. The zeta potential results showed an increased negative charge for the functionalized nanoparticles. Investigation of nanoprobes and nanoparticles revealed that the probe conjugated to nanoparticles properly.
