In this study, polyurethane/nanocellulose/activated carbon membrane was successfully fabricated to remove methylene blue dye. The optimum adsorption condition were determined to obtain a maximum of efficiency, including pH = 12, adsorbent dosage 0.2 gr, temperature 25 °C and initial solution concentration 10 mg/L. In addition, the results showed that the mechanical properties of the nanocomposite membrane were improved compared to a pure membrane.
