The Influences of the POE-MAH compatibilizer on the morphology, mechanical, and Rheological behavior of N6/PC/GO nanocomposites

In this study, the effect of Maleic anhydride-grafted-Polyolefin elastomer (POE-MAH) compatibilizer addition on the morphological developments and its effect on the rheological behavior of Nylon6/Polycarbonate (N6/PC) polymer blend nanocomposite containing Graphene oxide (GO) was investigated. The N6/PC composition was considered to be 80/20 and the GO was loaded at values ​​of 0.25, 0.5, and 1%. The rheological behavior of the nanocomposites was investigated in the presence and absence of the 10phr of POE-MAH. Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy of samples showed that the compatibilizer phase by encapsulating the dispersed PC phase and is located at the interface between phases of the blend. Core-shell morphology formation improves the tensile behavior of all nanocomposite samples.
