A carbazolyl-derived monomer named N-(4-aminophenyl)carbazole was synthesized and then homopolymerized via free radical polymerization using APS as initiator. The powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, morphological characterizations of samples by FESEM and TEM, FT-IR ,Thermal stability(TGA) were investigated.A eletrochemical sensing platform for determining hydrazine in alkaline media based on polycarbazole is introduced. Cyclic voltammetry was and chronoamperometry was done in a three-electrode system containing an Ag,AgCl (saturated KCl) as a reference electrode, a Pt wire as a counter electrode and a modified GCE with 2 mm diameter as the working electrode. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was acquired in a 5 mM K3Fe(CN)6/K4Fe(CN)6 in 0.1 M KCl as supporting electrolyte in the frequency range from 0.01 Hz to100 kHz.
