Investigation of substitute extenders of titanium dioxide by Barium sulfate and Aluminum silicate in order to use in rezins coatings

increasing the price of titanium dioxide pigment has made use of its alternatives. in this research,  from extenders, Barium sulfate(Barite) and Aluminum silicate (Kaolin), in different weight percentages 3 and 6 were used as substitute titanium dioxide in rezin. determine the optimum percentage of extenders in the rezin, properties such as hiding power, gloss  test, were performed on the samples. According to the results, 6 wt.% of  Barium sulfate was capable of substitution of TiO2 in rezin for coating.
