In this research, a porous organic polymer (POP) by using two monomers 3, 4, 9, 10 perylene tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA) and 2, 4, 6 tris (hydrazino) 1, 3, 5 triazine (THSTZ) and using a Lewis acid catalyst was synthesized under a condensation reaction. As a result, applying this POP was investigated to adsorb iodine in a solution phase. Identifying the structure of the POP w:::as char:::acterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA, FE-SEM, and BET analyses. In the Volatile iodine adsorption process, parameters such as the concentration of the initial iodine solution, the dose of the POP, and the contact time were optimized. Eventually, the results showed that this POP with a maximum adsorption capacity of 166 mg g-1 in 3 hours is capable of reversibly absorbing iodine in the solution phase.
