Dynamics of a mathematical model for the system of waste plastic management in the ocean

This paper deals with a mathematical model for the system of waste plastic management in the ocean. A three-compartment model is introduced via a system of ordinary differential equations. After describing the formulation of the model, some properties of the model are given. Then the equilibria of the model and the basic reproduction number are obtained by the next generation matrix method. Also, the stability of the equilibria are proved by properties of the eigenvalues of the jacobian matrix at the equilibria. Finally, the numerical simulations of discussed models are given.
