Preparation of antistatic waterborne acrylic-polyaniline coating

In this study electrically conducting polyacrylic-polyaniline nanocomposite was fabricated by polymerization of aniline through interfacial polymerization method in the presence of polyacrylic latex. FTIR and CHNS elemental analyses results revealed the existence of polyaniline (PANI) in the nanocomposite matrix. The resulting film of nanocomposite shows reasonable electrical conductivity to be used as antistatic coating.
