Synthesis and application of a dichlorotriazine-based reactive dye for cellulosic fibers

The present work discloses a new synthetic dye with reactive nature which is applied to cellulosic fibers. Synthetic methods are described for the preparation of the reactive dye of the general formula. The synthesized dye has been characterized by CHN, FTIR and 1H-NMR techniques. Various most favorable dyeing parameters such as exhausting, fixing, wash and light fastness, k/s and Lab values have been determined for the applied dye. The results show that the synthesized dye has a promising character to be applied as a reactive dye. .
