SOME RESULTS IN EXISTENCE AND CONVERGENCE OF BEST PROXIMITY POINTS IN METRIC SPACES WITH THE PROPERTY UC

We consider metric spaces with property UC and obtain some results on the existence and convergence of best proximity points for cyclic mappings which are not necessarily contractions. Finally, we consider setvalued cyclic contraction maps, and obtain some best proximity point results for this mappings
