NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE TWO DIMENSIONAL LINEAR VOLTERRA INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this work, we formulate the operational Tau method for solving the two dimensional linear Volterra integro-differential equations(TDLVIDE) of second order with some supplementary conditions. To this end we give some theoretical results to simplify application of the Tau method, then we covert the equation and its conditions to a system of linear algebraic equations by using operational approach of the Tau method and solve it to obtain an approximate solution to the problem. We also estimate error of the presented method and give some numerical examples to demonstrate accuracy of the method
