Electromagnetic shielding is an important issue because of its vital role in camouflage, protecting apparatuses and saving humans’ health against harmful electromagnetic waves. Conductivity is the main requirement of any material suitable for use in electromagnetic shielding. Textiles are the main substrate used in production of electromagnetic shielding device known as conductive textiles. In this article, polyester fabric was used as substrate and polyaniline was chemically synthesized in-situ on the surface of the fabric to produce acceptable levels of conductivity. Amongst different in-situ synthesizing method used for polyaniline formation, a new two-stage multiple padding procedure is introduced as the method of choice which could add conductivity to a textile substrate in a convenient way. The highest level of conductivity measured on polyaniline containing fabric samples was 751.88x105 S/m.
