Dyeing behaviors of acid dyes on nylon6 fibers

Three different acid dyes applied on nylon6 fibers and their dyeing behaviors were investigated. The dyeing conducted for each dye at the specific condition and the exhaustion at different time is plotted against time of dyeing. In the early stages of dyeing the linear curve of percentage exhaustion versus square root of time is plotted and consequently from the slop of these curves, �𝐃𝐃𝛑𝛑𝛑𝛑𝟐𝟐 ⁄ for the acid dyes was obtained. In the case of Acid Sky Blue A, rapid exhaustion and diffusion rate compared with Acid Naphtol Red 6B were observed, however Chrysophenine GX with very high molecular weight , showed very good rate of diffusion and exhaustion.
