Time Domain Analysis of Fourth Order LCLC Resonant Converterwith Capacitive Output Filter

This paper presents analysis of a 4th order LCLC resonant converter with capacitive output filter using the state-space approach. Analysis of the converter shows that there are four intervals in half period. In each interval, the state-space equations is obtained and due to the soft switching of the converter, an exact equation for Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) time and maximum dead time of the inverter switches is presented. The simulation results obtained from a 10kv,450w resonant converter confirm the validity of theorical analysis.
