Active Control of Dynamic Response of Smart Sandwich Beam with Soft Core

Abstract-The purpose of this thesis is analytical study of control of sandwich beamʹs linear vibration having flexible core and equipped with piezoelectric patch. It may be that the effects of external forces imposed on sandwich beam be reached to a minimum value by designing appropriate controller and control the beamʹs vibration. Three-layer wise theory is used for analytical study of vibration of sandwich beam. Classical theory is used for face-sheets and linear polynomial displacement field theory is used for core and controller theorem using Linear Quadratic Regulator method. Governing equations of vibration are obtained using Hamilton’s principle and Galerkin’s method. Keywords- , , ),
