A method for solving multi-objective transportation problem with priority

In the basic transportation problem, only quantitative type of relationships is considered. This kind of relationships only can be involved quantitative relationships. It would be more practical if we consider qualitative relationships too. In this paper, a fuzzy multi-objective transportation problem with consideration of some qualitative relationships is proposed. In the proposed model, the quantitative objective functions are more extremely important than the qualitative goals. To get the optimal compromise solution of the proposed model, a preemptive fuzzy goal programming method is used. This method can generate the results consistent with the decision-maker (DM) expectation, that the goal with higher priority may have higher satisfaction
