Abstract
The aim of this work is to investigate the computer experience status and the computer oriented attitudes of the university students according to some variables. To achieve this goal, a research Personal Characteristics, Computer Experience, Computer Attitude Scale and the Web Attitude Scale developed by Liaw (2002) was used as a questionnaire. The students of Dicle University between 2008 and 2010 during spring and fall semesters are the participants of this study. The prepared questionnaire is applied to 1197 university students. To analyze the collected research data, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, F test and the Tukey HSD test were used. As a result of the analysis, significant differences (p 0,05) between computer experience status and tcomputer oriented attitudes of the university students are seen in terms of class, department and computer usage period.
