  • Abstract
    This study reports fishing activities and fishing resources of coastal fisheries in Gökçeada Island. The technical characteristics of set net, handline and longlines in the island were also exposed. A total of 5 various types set nets of which three trammel nets and the others gill nets and 4 type hand/longlines were determined from coastal fisheries in the area. Technical characteristics of these gears were identified according to the FAO catalogue.
