Abstract
This research was conducted to investigate suitability of plant available iron (Fe) with DTPA extraction in cherry orchard soils in Isparta. For this, DTPA extraction method was compared with EDTA extraction method. For this purpose, soil and leaf samples were taken from 16 orchards. Soil extractable iron concentrations were determined using both DTPA and EDTA methods and correlations among total Fe and active Fe were investigated. Results obtained from DTPA extraction method gave significant correlations, thus it was concluded that DTPA extraction method can be used for determining extractable soil Fe concentration.
