  • Abstract
    The aim of this study is to describe pre-service teachers’ opinions on effects of performance based assessment. This research was carried out in spring semester of 2007 at Artvin Çoruh University, Faculty of Education with 40 freshman pre-service teachers. In this study qualitative research method was used and it was implemented in four phases: Firstly, performance assessment task were developed. Secondly, it was asked pre-service teachers to prepare Power Point presentation and a report. Thirdly, pre-service teachers presented their presentations. Finally, it was carried out a semi structured interviews. In the result, pre-service teachers improved searching, preparing Power Point presentations, oral presentation and writing skills.
