Abstract
2006–2007 academic year graduate courses in research field of music teacher training programs applied in selected universities in Turkey, Canada, Norway, USA and Australia, are compared. Results might be used for:▪ Improving course descriptions of the research field courses in explanatory manner, at an adequate level, with a standard identification text;▪ Improving the program to vary the concerned courses (by examining foreign courses);▪ Developing prerequisites and quality standards of present courses;▪ Preparing textbooks on research methods and techniques in music education;▪ Training the specialist instructors in the field.
