Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine student teachers alternative concepts about solubility topic. Survey research design was used in this study. The study was conducted with 134 science student teachers from Karadeniz Technical University Fatih Faculty of Education. An open ended question was used to collect data. Student teachers were asked How could you reflect your ideas about solubility of different materials in different solvents with benefitting one of poem, story or drawing? in the question. Student teachers who participated to the study reflect their ideas with poem is 16, with story is 28 and with drawing is 90. At the end of the study it has seen that student teachers use concepts as melting- dissolving and ending- extinction- missing- be caged- defused instead of dissolution.
