  • Abstract
This study has been carried out to assess the managerial success levels of the executives serving for the Turkish Armed Forces Military Hospitals by their subordinates. The questionnaire used as an instrument to collect data includes 40 questions about basic management functions (decision making, planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling) and communication, motivation, leadership and quality insight. The sample consists of 890 staff selected by stratified random sampling method out of 5981 employees of the Turkish Armed Forces Military Hospitals who were asked to evaluate their executives. The assessment of the managerial functions ranged from the lowest 0.00 to the highest score 4.00. As a result of the data analysis, the managerial success function levels of the executives were found in the median level=2.48. In conclusion, it was observed that the executives were less successful especially in terms of coordinating (median level=2.25) and motivating (median level=2.13). As a result of these findings it is recommended that the hospital managers should behave more attentive to issues such as team approach, division of labor, communication and motivation.
