Biographies and biographical sources are one of the important works in terms of our literature and culture. In this context, Şu arâ Tezkire is undoubtly an important work in retrospective among the biographical works of Turkish literature. Apart from this, in addition to texts which are about the births, lives, and the things the people do during their lifetime, the texts about their death are also of so much significance in the literary tradition. In this study, death and discourses on death, review of the language and the style of these discourses are going to be examined based on the selected collection of biographies.
