Abstract
In the American press articles related to Turkish women belong more to the Atatiirk period. The rights granted to Turkish women in the period of Atatiirk s Turkey is given in detail. Because in this period of Turkish women obtained the rights given to women were not even in western countries. Turkish women in the political and social fields obtained from these rights; in the areas of first to obtain the distinction of being the Turkish women are given as examples. Atatilrk s wife Latife Hamm and also from Halide Edip Hamm is mentioned frequently in this period of effort. However, in some respects of the American press sided articles published are remarkable.
