Abstract
In this study, it was investigated that the effects of different hosts on the water and dry matter weights of Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say) individuals according to the development period. Potato, tomato and eggplant which are the hosts of the pest taken to the experiment. The live weight, dry matter weight and water weight of the individuals who are feeding at these plants determined at each development periods. The experiments were conducted at 25±1ºC, 55±5 % relative humidity and 16 h light 8 h dark conditions which were kept constant in laboratory. In the evaluations, the highest live weight determined as 155.91 mg at the fourth stage larvae which were fed on the potato. The lowest live weight determined as 9.77 mg at the first stage larvae which were fed on the tomato. The live weight and dry matter weight of Leptinotarsa decemlineata individuals were the highest on the potato and the lowest on the tomato. The values of the individuals which fed on the eggplant were close to the values of the individuals which fed on the potato.
