Abstract
This study was conducted in order to determine of some suitable Lucerne cultivars adn genotypes under Southern Anatolia Region Conditions in Research Area of Dicle University Faculty of Agriculture at 2004-2005. The experimental design was a completely randomized block with four replications. In this study, plant height, herbage and hay yield, and crude protein ratio of four cultivars and one line of Lucerne were investigated. According to results of study, the highest herbage (4896 kg/da) and hay yields (1266 kg/da) were obtained from Elci cultivar and the highest crude protein ratio (% 22.67) was obtained Bilensoy cultivar. Overall yields of the local genotype showed that the cultivar can be used successfully in this region.
