Abstract
In this study, mode shapes and natural frequencies of different silo models planned to be used for storing of Tombul hazelnut performing modal analysis with the finite element method were evaluated. In terms of storage capacity, although lower frequency values was determined in Model 1 silo which has the maximum storage volume, the highest natural frequency values in Model 2 silo which has the lowest storage volume were obtained. In the scope of study, the different mode shapes were obtained depending on changes in the natural frequencies of the Mode1, Model 2 and Model 3 silos. As a result of research, it was found the increase in wall thickness lead to an increase in the frequency values of model silos.
