  • Abstract
Objective: In thıs study, it was determined that the combine application of mineral fertilizer and organic fertilizer as a soil conditioners in crop production positively affected the yield and nutrition of the maize. Material and methods: Treatments were compost (2, 4 and 4 t.da-1), compost + farmyard manure (1/2+1/2), farmyard manure and control (NPK). 80 kg.da-1 S was applied to all treatments. The effect of the applications of compost, farmyard manure and sulphur on the growth, nutrition and yield of maize was investigated in a randomized block design with three replications under greenhouse conditions. Results: The applications of compost and farmyard manure significantly affected dry matter, height, the contents of total N, K, Ca, Cu ve Zn of maize but not affected the contents of total P, Mg, Na, Fe, Cu and Mn. The efficiency of treatments decreased in order of farmyard manure compost + farmyard manure compost. The highest amounts were generally obtained at 8 t/da treatments (8 t.da-1 compost; 4 t.da-1 compost+4 t.da-1 farmyard manure; 8 t.da-1 farmyard manure). Control plots had the lowest amounts. Conclusion: It was determined that the combine application of mineral fertilizer and organic fertilizer as a soil conditioners in crop production positively affected the yield and nutrition of the maize.
