    Agenda in the School Staffroom

  • Abstract
    Identification of the basic subject matters that make the agenda in the teachers’ rooms and their frequency is the main problem of this research. This research is a descriptive study carried out by survey method. Research experiment group is composed of 343 teachers. Data were collected by “The Survey of Social Life in Staffroom” (Cronbach alpha = 0,954). Data collected via survey are processed by the methods of Frequency, Arithmetic Average, Percentage, T-test and ANOVA test; then evaluated accordingly. As a result: Teachers talk about school environment and education matters “very often”. That might partly be stemming from the fact that parents of students meet and discuss with teachers about students mostly in the staffrooms. Female teachers talk about education more frequently compared to their male colleagues. The frequency of topics does not differ meaningfully among different areas of specialty or levels of seniority.
