  • Abstract
    Isparta province with environs has home to many civilizations and the province that include many important historic structures which many of them are still standing. One of the important factors of destruction of the heritage buildings are weeds. In this study, weed flora on historical monuments was determined with surveys conducted in the nine different historic places in Isparta province and its close areas. As a result of surveys, a total of 37 species belonging to 22 families that including 2 cryptogams, 1 angiosperm, 2 monocotyledons and 32 dicotyledons were identified. The majority of the species identified are perennial and hemicryptophyte. Parieteria judacia L. (Pellitory) was the most common species in survey areas. Most weed species were found in the ancient city of Sagalassos.
