Abstract
Electric resistivity and seismic refraction methods of geophysics are used to investigate for environmental, engineering and different geological problems. These methods are also referenced as the primary survey methods in landslide survey. In this study, electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and multi-shot seismic refraction (MSSR) methods are conducted to determine the characteristic of the potential landslide geometry and material properties in the Süleyman Demirel University West Campus area where shallow surface slip occurred. Landslide geometry and mechanical properties of soil are determined based on the 2- dimensional inversion of seismic refraction and electrical resistivity tomography data. The structures located on the heel of the landslide are considered as an element which prevented a large mass movement in the area. However, surface slip increases with increasing rainfall and therefore, construction of structures which form an additional load should be avoided in this area.
