Determination of Infestation Ratio and Biology of Chickpea Leaf Miner [Liriomyza cicerina) (Rondani, 1875) (Diptera: Agromyzidae)] in Chickpea Fields in Uşak Province

This study was carried out to determine the biology of Liriomyza cicerina (Rond.)(Diptera: Agromyzidae) and infestation ratio in chickpea growing areas in Uşak province in 2014. As a result of this study, it was determined that the adults of L.cicerina were emerged at the second week of April. The population densities of adults were reached to maximum at the end of May and they recurred at the end of June. It was determined that the larvae of L. cicerina were seen in the leaflet in the last week of April, at the end of May they increased, and increasing of the larvae recurred at the end of June. According to the present data, there are two generations in a year in Uşak under field conditions. Additionally, Opius monilicornis Fischer (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) was determined as parasitoid of the pest. The mean infestation ratio was founded as 100% in Merkez, 92% in Banaz, 50% in Karahallı and 21% in Eşme respectively.
