Abstract
Freight villages are one of the most strategic investment alternatives for Turkey which is on the global logistics way and Silk Road. Turkey’s location is really important for world trade. If this opportunity can be used effectively Turkey can get a big portion from world trade. So the most important matter is locating the freight villages in our country. Location s transportation methods and their capacities are the important factors for determination. There are several methods can be used for location selection. Multi-criteria decision making methods stand out from others because of its characteristics. In this study, for finding centres which are suitable for being freight village, the potential centres will be examined with 4 main criteria and its 22 sub criteria and TOPSIS method. As a result, the most suitable 3 center will be recommended that Mersin-Merkez, Konya-Merkez and Bilecik-Bozüyük.
