Abstract
In this study, computer numerical controlled machine (CNC) with cutting force and specific energy the processability of marbles were determined. A total of 5 different types of marble were categorized according to their commercially used and geological formations research has been conducted. In experimental study, mill cutting tool (6.0 mm) with different processing type (external lines and linear), depth of cut (1.2, 1.6 and 2.0 mm) and feed speed (2000, 2500 and 3000 mm/min) parameters were selected. The effects of processing type, depth of cut and feed speed of processing equipment of computer numerical controlled machine on the processability of marbles were diagnosed forces (Fz, Fc and Ft) and specific energy values were analyzed statistically. In terms of forces (Fz, Fc and Ft) and specific energy values, a statistically significant difference (P 0.001) was obtained among processing type, depth of cut and feed speed. As a result of this study it was determined that the parameters that affected processability of marbles were processing type, depth of cut and feed speed.
