Abstract
Water buffaloes usually grown in extensive conditions are an important animal for organic animal production. Nowadays, the demand for organic animal products is increasing day by day. The limited researches on raw milk component and/or somatic cell count of water buffaloes raised in Turkey are understood from the limited references. It needs to largely investigate the assessment of standards somatic cell count depend on obtain the general information about cases of mastitis in buffaloes, improve on the current situation, preparation for possible future progress and development of appropriate threshold values for the conditions in Turkey with determining the various milk component and somatic cell count of dairy buffaloes. In this review, the determination of the current situation in terms of composition and SCC content of raw buffalo milk was aimed.
