Abstract
Greece, as a member of the Western front since the end of the Second World War, followed a foreign policy based on communist threat until 1974. After 1974 which is the year of Cyprus Peace Operation and Greece’s transition to democracy again, Turkey became the main threat in the perception of Greek foreign policy and was shaped accordingly. As of the same date in Greece the discipline of international relations began to develop and in the continuation, debates regarding dominant theories of the discipline among Greek scholars developed. The purpose of this study is to discuss the development of international relations theories in Greece and the implementation of these on foreign policy cases.
