Abstract
In this article we try to explain how demand for natural gas is increasing. In fact first natural gas was consumed for space heating in Ankara in 1987, because of air pollution was very serious. The natural gas consumption was only 521 million m3. Since then year by year demand was increasing. dramaticly and increased to 36 billion m3 in 2008 If the demand of natural gas increases very rapidly,Turkey needs to pay most of her income from her exports. Because of most natural gas is imported since production is only 2-2,5% in the country.
