Abstract
Much of our country is in the seismic region. Considering the late regulation put into effect on 01.01.1998, in order to increase the quality of structure and build earthquake-resistant buildings, C 20 has been determined as the lowest concrete resistant which will be used in seismic regions. Therefore, a significant step has been taken to reduce a possible life and property loss to minimum during an earthquake. Ready-mixed concrete sector, rapidly developing sector in Turkey, has reached such production figures from 1-2 million m^3 to 30 million m3 within a year. The case of the concrete used in our country, also, has begun to show satisfying development along with the use of ready-mixed concrete technology. In this study, the point that ready-mixed concrete sector has reached is studied as well as varieties of cost depending on the regions following the interviews had with some ready-mixed concrete firms from 7 regions in Turkey dependent on Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association in order to determine cost change parameters.
