Abstract
Smoking is a very common habit among university students. The most significant outcome of the research into the smoking addiction is that this habit starts at the age of 15-19 of 40 percent youth. That is why, in the study, by means of the data obtained from the questionnaire conducted to Narman Vocational school students who are among the risky age group, logit model was used. In the study, the effective factors in smoking were attempted to determine. According to the results, gender, age, the family members who smoke, monthly income of the family and social circle are found to be the effective factors in smoking.
