  • Abstract
Çankırı takes its name from ‘Gangra’ castle which constitutes the core of the city founded in the antique age. In Çankırı which has been reigned by Hittites, Paflagon, Pontus Kingdom, Roman Empire and Byzantium and which was taken by Turks in 1071 after Malazgirt Battle there exist many valuable historical works from the times of Seljuk, Çandaroğulları and Ottoman Empire. This study aims at handling the figurative decorations in Çankırı Şifahane (hospital), Çankırı Museum, Balıklı Pınar in Bayramören (Osmanağa Fountain) and their palace and importance in Anatolian Turkish Art.
