Abstract
In this study, concepts of ‘fetih’ (conquest) and ‘reconquista’ compared in novels on Andalusia by Zuhuri Danışman (1902-1971). Zuhuri Danışman has written popular historical novels. He has two novels on Andalusia: Endülüs’te İslâm Cengâverleri (Islam Warriors in Andalusia) and Grenata’nın Son Günleri (The Last Days of Granada). In the first novel the conquering of Andalusia by Muslims and in the second novel taking it back by Christians is told. In this novels the ‘fetih’ of Islam is victory of good over evil; the ‘reconquista’ of Christianity is victory of evil over good.
