Abstract
In this study, establishment of a scale to measure pre-sevice mathematics teachers’ self efficacy beliefs toward mathematics teaching is aimed. Self efficacy beliefs toward mathematics teaching scale is created on the opinions of the field experts and the students of the depermant of elementary mathematics education. The scale is a likert type scale consisting of 19 items. The validity and the confidence of the scale is based upon the data obtained from 286 people selected via random sampling method among the senior students of the depermant of elementary mathematics education. The result of the factor analysis which is performed to determine the structure validity of the scale, it is seen that, the factor veights of the scale items vary between 0,48 and 0,78, Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) value is ,86, the value of the inner consistency multiple (cronbach alpha) is α= ,88 the findings about the studies for the validity and the confidence indicate that the scale has a valid and a confident structure.
