  • Abstract
    In this research, the opinions of the candidates preschool teachers on their field capabilities are going to be scrutinized. In this study, the opinions of preschool teachers to preschool teaching capabilities developed within the Supporting Primary Education Project of Ministry of National Education are also going to be evaluated. In that sense, the field capabilities of preschool teaching, which are going to be discussed under this paper, comprise of 7 main field capabilities, 19 sub-field capabilities and performance indicators classified as A1, A2 and A3 for each capability. Data gathering form cited in the present research paper is acquired by making use of field capabilities of preschool school teachers which are developed by Ministry of National Education and by changing the A2 level 62 performance indicators into grading scale. Regarding responses of nominee teachers to the A2 level performance indicators within 7 field capabilities named as Developmental Area, Communication with Families, Participation of Families and Training of Families, Evaluation, Communication, Creation and Esthetic, Cooperation with School and Community some findings have been witnessed. While, “Improving Areas”, a category of the field capabilities, is found to be the highest average rate as 4,23, other categories such as “Communication with Families” and “Participation of Families and Training of Families” are found to be the lowest average rate as 3,93.
